Job summary

Caterpillar Engines Kiel GmbH in Kiel seeks an experienced mechanical assembler (m/f/d) to join the Large Power Systems Division. You will perform assembly on gas engines, verify parts, and document quality activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires technical/vocational training or several years of hands-on experience, strong teamwork and communication, fluent German (English a plus) and willingness to work a rolling 3-shift pattern. EU/EFTA work eligibility.

We are looking for an experienced mechanical assembler (m/f/d) to join our team “Large Power Systems Division” at our Kiel site as soon as possible.

Responsibilities and requirements

• Perform complex assembly work on gas engines in accordance with technical drawings, work instructions and bills of materials
• Assemble components and individual parts into complete engine assemblies
• Check assembled parts for completeness, fit and correct execution
• Identify and resolve straightforward assembly errors and quality deviations
• Document assembly and inspection activities
• Comply with applicable quality, safety and environmental standards
• Completed technical/vocational training or several years of relevant practical experience
• Good technical understanding, teamwork and communication skills
• Good German; English is an advantage
• Willingness to work shifts

Shift pattern: the role is shift-based; it will be a rolling 3-shift model, at the moment we are working in 2 shifts (early/late)

Note A valid work permit or citizenship of an EU/EFTA country is required for this position.
