EUDR & FSC Solutions Officer will be part of FSC Asia Pacific to help market understand FSC's EUDR Solutions, thereby facilitating companies' compliance with EUDR in Indonesia.

This position will report to the FSC Country Director and the FSC Asia Pacific Deputy Regional Director. The candidate will also work closely with FSC Indonesia Technical Director and FSC Asia Pacific EUDR Policy & CoC Manager, in Hong Kong.

Main Roles & Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the implementation of the EUDR conformity support strategy for Indonesia.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and technical expert for EUDR policy and FSC Solutions in the country.
  • Represent FSC at relevant events and activities. Engage with key stakeholders, including certificate holders, certification bodies, industry associations, and government to ensure the implementation of FSC solutions.
  • Identify and act on development opportunities or capacity building such as webinars and training sessions for relevant parties to enhance market uptake of FSC solutions.
  • Provide advice and support to the Country Director to enhance market uptake of FSC solutions.
  • Occasional domestic travel will be required.

Qualifications

  • A university degree in a relevant field, such as forestry, supply chain management, or sustainability.
  • Experience in supply chain management and market development.
  • Knowledge of global forest products trade policies and regulations, including EUTR/EUDR.
  • Understanding of FSC's policies, programs, and certification systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the commercial forest product value chain, including market forces, and familiarity with tropical wood and natural rubber products is a plus.
  • Service-oriented attitude with analytical and problem-solving skills to assist stakeholders, especially FSC certificate holders.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Speaking Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.

The Fine Print

Location: Jakarta/Bogor, Indonesia
• Working Hours: Full time - 40 hours per week.
• Contract Duration: 1 year.
