In addition, efficient processes and tools help our Engineers focus on value creation and work with a powerful sense of purpose.

Being part of our Power Transformers business in Europe, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best experts in our industry and help them accelerate our journey towards a carbon neutral energy system.

Reporting to the Hub Engineering Manager for Power Transformers in Europe, you will optimize and synchronize our processes and tools across various locations to meet the growing demand for Engineering capacity in our business.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work in close contact with our Engineering Teams across Europe to map and analyze the existing processes and tools, with particular focus on operational basics (documentation management, IS infrastructure, Engineering software, problem solving methodologies, etc.) and design for excellence (FMEA, DFM, etc.)
  2. Propose improved and robust approaches to boost efficiency and to cope with the growing demand for Engineering capacity
  3. Promote standard work based on design schema, implementing clear stages and decision points in the Engineering processes, as well as change management practices
  4. Focus on Quality, ensuring that all required critical to quality controls are in place to relentlessly execute our tender and order backlog
  5. Collect proposals from our Engineering Community on how to improve our design tools, scrutinize them together with the Engineering Management Team before they are submitted to R&D for development
  6. Establish appropriate KPIs to monitor the implementation of our processes and tools and initiate the required improvement initiatives in case of deviations
  7. Guarantee that all required documentation, training and tools are in place so that all Engineering Teams work in sync and that projects can be seamlessly transferred from one location to another
  8. Keep in mind the big picture and collaborate with other functions, especially Sales, Operations, and Procurement: have Engineering seen as part of the entire value chain
  9. Live core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business

Qualifications:

  2. 8-10 years of experience in an Engineering function, preferably in Transformers
  3. Strong technical knowledge of PLM (Windchill preferred), 3D CAD (Creo preferred), CAD Automation, and ERP systems
  4. International experience and Intercultural sensitivity
  5. Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
  6. Structured and analytical thinking, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach
  7. Be willing to travel up to 30% of the time
