Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH in Donauwörth seeks a Ground Test Engineer (d/f/m) to join the Flight Test Center. You will organize and perform ground tests on Airbus helicopters, with EMC, vibrations, acoustics and avionics focus, coordinating with design, rigs and test crews.
The role requires an engineering degree and 5–10 years of relevant experience, fluent German and English, and a strong problem-solving mindset to analyze test data and report findings for certification.
You will join the Ground Test team, which is part of the Flight Test Center of AIRBUS Helicopters Germany. Our team performs development, certification, and qualification testing activities on aircraft on ground. It comprises the domains electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), avionics and vehicle mission systems, vibrations, and acoustics. Our main goal is to ensure system maturity for by making the bridge between avionic/vehicle rigs and flight tests. In order to do that we optimize integration and test sequence in close relationship with design office, simulation, rigs, flight-test crews, and prototype shops. Finally, we show compliance with regulations specifications or certification/qualification requirements, in order to get our aircraft certified.
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.
