Job summary

Sanctuary Group is seeking an Estate Technician to join our Voids team covering the Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire areas. You will clear and finish clearing for void properties, including gardening, cleaning and light landscaping to return homes to lettable standard promptly.

The role requires adaptability in a customer-focused environment, with training provided to ensure competency. A full UK driving licence is needed to drive on company business.

Qualifications

• British Institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS) required.
• NVQ2 in Horticulture or equivalent; willingness to train toward.
• Pesticide PA1–PA6 certificate or willingness to work toward.
• Experience in caretaking, cleaning, reporting of repairs, fencing and paving.
• Strong interpersonal and customer care skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Valid UK manual driving licence required for driving company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general cleaning and clearing of communal areas within Voids properties
• Complete daily work records and maintain stock levels
• Respond to complaints and service breakdowns to meet customer expectations
• Ensure tools and equipment are kept in a usable condition
• Work with customers to resolve issues and improve services
• Provide accurate information and updates on progress of allocated work

40 hours per week – Monday – Friday, 8am - 4.30pm

We are looking for an Estate Technician to join our Voids team covering the Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire areas. For this role you will be responsible for clearing and final clearing for voids properties. This includes clearing, cutting grass, pruning and landscape works to void gardens and assisting the wider void team to enable properties are handed back to the lettable standard in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate that they are able to adapt to the demands, challenges and changes of the role whilst showing confidence to work within a customer-based environment. Appropriate and additional training will be given to the successful candidate to ensure they are competent to carry out their role.

The role of Estate Technician will include:

• Assisting with general cleaning and clearing of communal areas within Voids properties
• Completing daily work records and maintaining stock levels
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
• Ensuring tools and equipment are kept in a useable condition
• Working with customers to resolve issues and improve services

Skills and experiences:

• British institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS)
• NVQ 2 in Horticulture or similar or willing to work towards
• Pesticide Application Certificate PA1 – PA6 or willing to work towards
• Working knowledge and experience of caretaking, general cleaning, reporting of repairs, fencing and paving
• Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills
• A working knowledge of health and safety regulations
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid manual UK driving licence
