About our client

Our client is a leading mid-market private equity investment firm which is looking for an ESG Manager to develop its sustainability programme at all levels.

What the job involves

1. Further development of the firm's sustainability and ESG strategy
2. Contact person for portfolio companies on ESG-related issues
3. Development of measures, KPIs and their implementation
4. ESG reporting (e.g. with regard to CSRD and other EU taxonomy)
5. Monitoring of legal framework conditions and derivation of recommendations for action
6. Cross-industry ESG benchmarking in the portfolio
7. Conception and implementation of training courses and workshops on the topic of sustainability
8. Interface to internal departments, such as investor relations, corporate communications, human resources, etc.

Who we are looking for

1. Experience in sustainability/ESG gained in either the consulting sector or an inhouse ESG position, ideally within the private equity sector
2. Sufficient experience and stature to be credible, working independently with portfolio management teams; influence the investment team; build a strong external network
3. Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyse and use data to highlight trends and communicate data in a clear and concise manner
4. Highly organised, with experience of effectively managing multiple work streams spanning multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority
5. Strong communication and relationship building skills
