For our office in Zurich we are looking for an

Equity Sales Trader (m/f/d)

The job performed by an Equity Sales Trader will lead to taking orders from institutional clients in listed securities (equities, ETFs, fixed income). The duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Build and maintain relationships with institutional clients, including global hedge funds, asset managers, pension funds, family offices, banks and brokers
  • Locating liquidity for large/less liquid securities
  • Communicate trading ideas and precisely interpret investment opinions of Baader research reports to clients; convey relevant market information to clients in a timely manner
  • Work very closely with Sales /Sales Trading / Trading colleagues in Munich, London, Frankfurt and New York
  • Frequent travel to customers
  • Identify new business opportunities and participate in marketing efforts to promote the firm's equity trading offering, including trading-specific conferences
  • Bachelor degree or above, preference for finance related major. Finance background would be favorable as would financial field work experience/qualifications
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role at a financial institution
  • Knowledge of overall financial markets (cross asset), especially European markets, whilst remaining up-to-date with current affairs
  • Strong network of existing clients in Switzerland, ideally local family offices
  • Ability to pass regulatory exams
  • Experience in market structure, fix infrastructure
  • Understanding the client's investment behaviour and orientation
  • Innovative and creative problem solving skills
  • Customer-oriented mentality, proactive personality
  • A good team player
  • Fluent in English and German, and ideally Swiss German
