We are looking for an experienced, highly skilled Project Manager to oversee our upcoming projects across Europe, ensuring successful execution from a technical, financial, and operational standpoint.

What You Will Do

(key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to):

1. Overall responsibility for project delivery of thermal energy storage projects.
2. Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. Ensure alignment with overall company goals.
3. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Implement strategies to maintain project schedules and budgets while minimizing risks.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sales, engineering, supply chain, finance, and legal departments as well as clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities. Act as a primary point of contact for clients.
5. Coordinate interfaces between contractors, vendors, consultants and 3rd parties involved in the project.
6. Coordinate a multidisciplinary team responsible for the delivery of energy storage projects from FEED & permitting through to commissioning. Develop and communicate a clear project vision, strategy, and objectives.
7. Manage the site team (internal and/or outsourced).
8. Champion a culture of safety and quality, ensuring that all projects adhere to EPC contract requirements, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
9. Prepare and present regular project status reports to the executive team and key stakeholders. Provide insights into project performance and recommendations for improvement.
10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project delivery process, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency, quality and lower cost.

What You Will Bring:

1. Degree in an Engineering discipline; Mechanical, Chemical, or Structural preferred
2. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
3. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects (> 25 MUSD) on time and within budget.
4. In-depth knowledge of construction methods and regulatory requirements.
5. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
6. Previous experience in Northern European countries (Denmark and Germany preferred).
7. Experience in dealing with clients, EPC contractors, utilities and local authorities.
8. Quick learner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Entrepreneurial, self-motivated and able to independently drive projects.
9. Pro-active and initiative-taking.
10. Strong leadership, team/building, communication and negotiations skills.
11. Speak and write English fluently. German and/or Danish would be a plus.
12. Flexible and adaptable with a "can-do" attitude.
13. Ability to work well under pressure.

Bonus Points!

1. Experience in thermal energy storage projects.
2. Knowledge of Primavera software.
3. Proficiency in Danish or German
4. Experience in a fast-paced start-up environment deploying novel technologies on large scale is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate is based in Northern Germany (Hamburg, Berlin, Essen) but strong candidates from other European geographies will be considered.
