Mercor is seeking an Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) Expert for data centers on a remote, contract basis. Immediate start with a focus on coordinating design, procurement, and construction interfaces for complex capital projects.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years delivering data centers or equivalent EPC projects and can interpret large drawings, schedules, and specifications. PE/PMP/CCM credentials are preferred. Contract position with international applicants considered.

Qualifications

• Must-have: 2+ years of experience delivering data centers or complex capital projects through EPC, design-build, or construction-management models.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design and construction interfaces.
• Ability to interpret large document sets, specs, drawings, schedules, and submittals.

• Check scope interfaces, technical requirements, schedule logic, and material constraints.
• Identify ambiguities, conflicting documents, missing constraints, or unrealistic deliverables.
• Improve task prompts, artifacts, acceptance criteria, rubrics, and programmatic checks.
• Produce clear technical findings and validate corrected tasks end to end.

Position: Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) Expert e22 Data Centers

Type: Contract

Compensation: $100226/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 522 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Review tasks involving design coordination, procurement, vendor data, drawing packages, EOR revisions, constructability, and more.
• Check scope interfaces, technical requirements, schedule logic, and material constraints.
• Identify ambiguity, conflicting documents, missing constraints, or unrealistic deliverables.
• Improve task prompts, supporting artifacts, acceptance criteria, rubrics, and programmatic checks.
• Produce clear technical findings and validate corrected tasks end to end.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 2+ years of experience delivering data centers or complex capital projects through EPC , design-build, or construction-management models.
• Relevant roles include Project Engineer, Engineering Manager, Design Manager, Construction Manager, Field Engineer, Procurement Engineer, Commissioning Manager, Project Controls Lead, or Technical Project Manager.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design and construction interfaces.
• Able to interpret large document sets, specifications, drawings, schedules, equipment submittals, cost and constraint registers, and field records.
• Precise, detail-oriented, and able to explain technical issues clearly in writing.

Preferred

• Experience at a leading EPC , design-build, engineering, or construction firm.
• PE , PMP , CCM , or commissioning credentials.
