Mercor seeks an Electrical Engineering Expert for a remote contract role. You will lead enterprise-level circuit and systems design, collaborating with Fortune 500 clients.

Candidates should bring 5+ years of experience, ownership of large-scale designs, and proficiency with Altium, Cadence, MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, and PLM/EDA tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as electrical engineer or lead at a Fortune 500 company
• Ownership of F500-scale circuit designs or power systems
• Fluency with enterprise electrical engineering tooling
• Understanding of F500 safety standards, regulatory certification (UL , FCC , IEC) and cross-functional design governance

Responsibilities

• Construct enterprise electrical engineering scenarios for complex circuit and systems design cycles, multi-stakeholder design reviews, and certification processes at Fortune 500 accounts.
• Build tasks across F500 power systems, grid infrastructure, semiconductor and PCB design, embedded systems, firmware, signal processing, and control systems engineering.
• Develop engineering scenarios using tools like Altium Designer, Cadence, MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE simulation platforms, and enterprise PLM/EDA systems.
• Apply enterprise electrical engineering methodologies such as circuit analysis, EMC/EMI compliance, control theory, and reliability analysis to produce reference design specifications and executive-level technical narratives.
• Author rubrics that distinguish authentic enterprise electrical engineering judgment from generic textbook-level recall.

Compensation: $70–$80/hour. Location: Remote.

• Fluency in enterprise electrical engineering tooling and methodologies.


• Understanding of F500 safety standards, regulatory certification ( UL , FCC , IEC ), and cross-functional design governance.

Qualifications – Preferred

• Prior rubric, engineering-training curriculum, or design documentation authorship.
