Mission

To ensure good environmental management procedures are adhered across all sectors of EDPR Deutschland. Responsible for managing all of the environmental elements of wind farm projects in development, construction and operation in Germany well as support the environmental measures of solar projects under construction.

Main Accountabilities

At development phase:

  1. Performing environmental feasibility studies.
  2. Supporting development team in the preparation of environmental authorisation.
  3. Supporting contracting and management of contractors undertaking Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).

At construction phase and operational phase:
  1. Supporting development team in the implementation of environmental measures (reduction and compensatory measures) and ensure the follow-up of those measures during operation.
  2. Reviewing construction and operational contractor environmental documentation.
  3. Auditing project sites and contractors to ensure compliance with Permits and environmental obligations and follow-through on non-compliance issues (pollution, drainage etc) during both construction and exploitation phase.
  4. Launching, following up and analysing subcontracted operational phase ecological studies.

Required Profile

  1. ACADEMIC LEVEL: Graduate or Master's Degree in Environmental Science and/or Biology/Ecology.
  2. REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Experience of 2/5 years in wind or solar project development.
  3. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge and understanding of national and European environmental legislation, and Environmental Impact Assessment. Knowledge and understanding of environmental issues, processes and impacts, particularly linked to wind and solar energy projects.
  4. LANGUAGES: Fluent German and English.
  5. SKILLS / COMPETENCES: German Driving License. Stakeholder management. Able to work independently as well as a key part of a team. Excellent written German and report writing skills. Capable organization skills and a collaborative and skilled communicator.
