A leading environmental trading firm in Germany is looking for a candidate to drive the reputation and visibility of their platform in the renewables market. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of GoOs/Certificates and experience in business development within the environmental space. You will be:

  • Driving reputation and visibility of the platform and brand with renewables and environmental market trading participants across GoOs, certificates etc.
  • Actively identifying new prospects, following up on client visits and pitching/business development & sales process, continuously demonstrating the best of the platform to corporate, industrial and institutional clients with activity in the space
  • Encouraging trader participation in the platform to increase liquidity
  • Coaching the wider team on the nuances of the environmental space, offering support and guidance to senior management, operations and tech teams
  • Managing and hitting revenue targets on the environmental segment, whilst working with other cross-energy teams on cross-sell opportunity
  • Keeping up to date with market news, movements and geopolitics to remain a trusted and understanding figure in the environmental commodity trading markets
  • Attending industry events and conferences, representing the brand and demonstrating the benefits of the trading platform.

We would love to speak to you if you have:

  • A thorough knowledge and deep understanding of the GoOs/Certificates space
  • Previous experience in a commercial capacity (broker, trader, sales representative, business development, origination etc.) within the environmental or renewables arena
  • Commercial focus, with experience in driving revenue/PnL on an outbound desk
  • A good network in the environmental trading space
  • Fluency in English/additional languages beneficial but not required
  • The ability to relocate to Germany (remote possible in certain geographies)
