Position Title: Environment & Resource Efficient Operations Manager

Job Summary: As Environment and Resource Efficient Operations Manager / SuM Env & REO Lead, you will be responsible for execution of the function as it relates to ensuring all operational practices are developed and implemented prior to Plant start-up and ensuring that the site complies with environmental standards after start-up.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all operational practices are developed and implemented prior to Plant start-up.
  • Ensure the site complies with environmental standards after start-up.
  • Provide expert guidance and technical support to project teams regarding design, specifications, equipment selection, and management systems requirements (ISO).
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including project management, operations, procurement, and external vendors.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure optimal design from the point of environment, sustainability, and resources efficiency.
  • Ensure all personnel are engaged and their input, ideas, and changes are relayed back to the Start-up Team.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, codes, and best practices.
  • Conduct inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and environmental requirements.
  • Ensure alignment with Global and Regional Sustainability strategy.
  • Coordinate Independent Sustainability Culture introduction.
  • Be active in environmental incident prevention and risk management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members and project stakeholders.
  • Build and manage the organization according to McCain Standard Model.
