G2 are currently searching for a Site HSE Manager to join them on a freelance basis on a data centre project based in Frankfurt, Germany. The role will require an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to support a major EPC contractor on a large-scale data centre construction project.

You will lead all health, safety and environmental activities on site, ensuring safe working practices, regulatory compliance, and the successful implementation of project HSE standards

Qualifikationen

• HSE-focused background with certifications such as NEBOSH/IOSH.
• Experience with EPC contractors or large-scale industrial construction.
• Strong construction site safety management background.
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Knowledge of permit-to-work systems and contractor management.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Proven ability to develop and implement behavioural safety programmes.

The role will require an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to support a major EPC contractor on a large-scale data centre construction project. You will be responsible for leading all health, safety and environmental activities on site, ensuring safe working practices, regulatory compliance, and the successful implementation of project HSE standards throughout the construction phase.

Specification:

• HSE, HSSE or HSEQ background with relevant industry certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent)
• Experience working for EPC contractors, engineering companies, or on large-scale industrial construction projects
• Strong background in construction site safety management
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
• Knowledge of permit-to-work systems, contractor management and high-risk construction activities
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
• Proven ability to develop and implement behavioural safety programmes and HSE improvement initiatives
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• German language skills highly beneficial

The client is looking to onboard the successful Site HSE Manager as soon as possible and is flexible regarding mobilisation depending on availability.

The role requires a proactive and hands-on HSE professional who is comfortable working closely with construction managers, supervisors and subcontractors to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance are maintained across the project. A strong site presence and the ability to influence safe behaviours at all levels are essential for success in this position.
