Design Build Search is assisting a leading technical contractor with a major data centre electrical and mechanical construction project in Berlin. We seek an experienced Onsite Safety Manager to lead health and safety protocols and mentor site teams on this high-profile assignment.

You will conduct audits, develop safety initiatives, manage incidents, and ensure ISO 45001/14001 alignment while reporting to the Senior Regional Safety Manager.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in a similar role is essential.
• Experience working in the Commercial Construction Sector is essential
• PSCS experience
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office required.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• MUST Have European Passport can't consider otherwise

Aufgaben

• Conduct regular formal site audits and carry out inspections as directed in the Safety Management system/PSCS.
• Attend Safety Leadership Tours.
• Coaching and mentoring staff in creating a positive safety culture.
• Communicate the findings of the audits to site management and project director and assist in the closure of issues in line with company policy.
• Assessing the EHS function to identify areas for improvement and develop new initiatives.
• Investigating and analyzing incidents and identifying root causes.
• To provide training and information to the workforce using appropriate training aids and media, communicating, and promoting initiatives for accident prevention and greater EHS awareness.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant environmental health & safety legislation.
• Ability to manage, mentor and promote Safety onsite.
• Maintaining management systems in accordance with ISO 45001/14001 and Safe T Cert.
• Represent the company impeccably with client, subcontractors and third parties.

Onsite Safety Manager - Berlin - Commercial Construction

A leading technical contractor spanning a geographical remit across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA. Specialising in large scale commercial construction projects with a focus on the pharmaceutical and logistics industries there is a solid pipeline of work ahead. Due to an increase in project workload there is an opportunity for an experienced Safety Manager to lead a large Data Centre electrical and mechanical construction project. As Safety manager you will oversee and manage health and safety protocols for large-scale construction work. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Regional Safety Manager.
