Qualifikationen

• Subject Matter Expert in safety with proven track record across multiple assignments.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Construction Safety Engineer to support major industrial and pharmaceutical construction projects across Europe. The role focuses on driving excellence in construction safety performance, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards, and fostering a proactive safety culture throughout the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate closely with project managers, project engineers, cost controllers, schedulers and estimators in cooperation with external partners (construction management teams), a project will be managed together through Front End loading till commissioning, qualification and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the organization’s construction safety strategy across all project phases, including Behavior-Based Safety programs.
• Review Construction, Commissioning, and Quality HSE plans.
• Review and approve project-specific work permits and Task Risk Assessments (TRA).
• Support/advise project management on safety performance, metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach and support construction management and contractors in applying company safety standards and procedures.
• Roll out/ implement of safety incentive plan.
• Participate in constructability assessments.
• Track, safety statistics, initiating improvement plan where necessary.
• Monitor and evaluate Construction Management safety performance, against project plan, identifying areas for improvement.
• Establish strong working relationships with client and site safety teams, aligning with local safety requirements and procedures.
• Lead and/or support incident investigations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction safety within a comparable environment (pharmaceutical, oil & gas, food, or similar industries).
• Proven construction safety management excellence, demonstrated over multiple assignments.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical product development and manufacturing facilities and plant operations are highly desirable.
• Subject Matter Expert in safety.
• Proficient in MS Office tools.
• Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
• Start Date: January 2026

• Workload: Full-time, 5 days per week onsite
