Job Description:

ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology is at the forefront of creating smaller, more powerful, and energy-efficient microchips. About 80% of all microchips globally are manufactured using ZEISS technologies. Our high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems, and process control solutions enable the production of increasingly smaller and more efficient microchips, shaping the future of micro- and nanoelectronics. Your Role:

1. Develop processes for wet and dry cleaning of mechanical, electronic, and mechatronic components for DUV and EUV systems, ensuring compliance with the highest cleanliness standards in the semiconductor industry.
2. Create and implement concepts to prevent (re-)contamination during the processing of parts, modules, and systems within our manufacturing facilities and cleanrooms.
3. Support internal and external partners in root cause analysis, defining immediate measures, and sustainably resolving process deviations.
4. Take responsibility for individual work packages regarding timing, costs, and performance, and regularly report status to project management.
5. Manage interfaces actively and ensure information flow within your interdisciplinary project team and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or a comparable field, preferably with a PhD.
• Knowledge in at least one of the following areas: wet cleaning, ultra-high vacuum technology, and/or surface analytics (XPS, residual gas analysis, TOF-SIMS, ICP-OES, particle measurements).
• Strong team player with excellent customer orientation, communication skills, and high emotional intelligence.
• Confident and committed in discussions and conflict situations.
• Proactive, goal-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset, practical, and hands-on approach.
• Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
• This position is suitable for entry-level candidates; training will be provided during onboarding and on-the-job with team collaboration.
