Job Description:

The Data Search Architecture empowers E.ON to deliver exceptional user experiences and drive business growth. As an Enterprise Search Engineer (f/m/d), you will manage and optimize the search functionality of E.ON's applications and systems. Your tasks include configuring and tuning the corporate search engine for optimal performance and accurate results, as well as designing and implementing search features tailored to E.ON and its users' needs.

Meaningful & Challenging - Your Tasks:

• Design and engineer enterprise search solutions aligned with business requirements, leveraging Lucene-based technologies such as Elasticsearch and Apache Solr
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand search needs and translate them into technical specifications
• Engineer and design search solutions capable of ingesting data from various sources including databases, SharePoint, FTP servers, and web crawlers
• Develop solutions for near real-time search, batch data ingestion, and effective data crawling
• Implement ETL processes to enrich and preprocess data for relevance and usability
• Create intuitive search interfaces with forms, facets, and filters to improve user experience
• Test and fine-tune search solutions focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability

Authentic & Ambitious - Your Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with multiple years of experience in enterprise search solutions
• Strong experience with Elasticsearch and Solr, understanding search relevancy, indexing, and algorithms
• Knowledge of keyword, fuzzy, and vector search, along with UI design and development
• Experience integrating search solutions with applications, data sources, and CMS systems
• Excellent communication skills, confident in engaging with internal and external partners, with a strong service orientation
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
