Role Overview:

The Data Search Architecture team empowers E.ON to deliver exceptional user experiences and drive business growth. As an Enterprise Search Architect (f/m/d), you define the overarching search architecture for E.ON's applications and systems, ensuring scalability and reliability in line with organizational objectives. You oversee the design and implementation of the search infrastructure, including data ingestion processes. Additionally, you are responsible for search relevancy strategies, performance optimization, and guiding best practices for search feature development to meet the needs of E.ON and its users.

Meaningful & Challenging - Your Tasks

• Design and architect enterprise search solutions utilizing technologies such as Elasticsearch and Apache Solr.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand search requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Create user journey maps and architect data ingestion from sources like databases, SharePoint, FTP servers, and web crawling.
• Develop strategies for real-time search, batch data ingestion, and data crawling; define and implement ETL processes to enrich and optimize search results.
• Develop and implement user interfaces for search, including forms, facets, and filters.
• Participate in testing and tuning of search solutions, focusing on performance and load testing.

Authentic & Ambitious - Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with several years of experience in enterprise search solutions.
• Strong experience with search technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, and Microsoft Search; understanding of relevancy, indexing, and search algorithms.
• Knowledge of keyword, fuzzy, and vector search, as well as search UI design and development.
• Experience integrating search solutions with applications, data sources, and CMS systems.
• Excellent communication skills, confident in engaging with internal and external partners.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Team player with an independent, structured working approach, and ability to collaborate effectively.
