About the team

The Data Search Architecture team empowers E.ON to deliver exceptional user experiences and drive business growth. As an Enterprise Search Architect (f/m/d), your role involves defining the overarching search architecture for E.ON's applications and systems, ensuring scalability and reliability in line with organizational goals. You will oversee the design and implementation of the search infrastructure, including data ingestion processes, relevancy strategies, and performance optimization. You will also guide best practices for search feature development to meet the specific needs of E.ON and its users.

Meaningful & Challenging - Your Tasks

1. Design and architect enterprise search solutions using technologies like Elasticsearch and Apache Solr.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate their search requirements into technical solutions.
3. Develop user journey maps and architect data ingestion from sources such as databases, SharePoint, FTP servers, and web crawling.
4. Design strategies for real-time search, batch data ingestion, and data crawling, including ETL processes to enrich and optimize search results.
5. Develop search user interfaces with forms, facets, and filters.
6. Participate in testing, performance tuning, and load testing of search solutions.

Authentic & Ambitious - Your Profile

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with several years of experience in enterprise search solutions.
2. Strong experience with Elasticsearch, Solr, and/or Microsoft Search, with a solid understanding of search relevancy, indexing, and algorithms.
3. Knowledge of keyword, fuzzy, and vector search, as well as search UI design.
4. Experience integrating search solutions with applications, data sources, and CMS systems.
5. Excellent communication skills, confident in engaging with internal and external partners.
6. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
