Overview

Enterprise Sales Specialist – Storage & Data Services (f/m/d). This role is hybrid with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description

Data Services and the underlying Storage Solution are a key investment area for HPE. We have invested significantly into R&D and acquisitions for new technologies enabling a software-driven, cloud-operated portfolio based on modern cloud-native platforms and integrated cloud-enabled Data Services. Our portfolio supports hybrid solutions spanning from Edge to Cloud.

Responsibilities
  • Position the HPE Storage product, data services and solution portfolio while working with selected Enterprise accounts.
  • Expand existing and develop new long-term customer and channel partner relationships.
  • Focus on business outcomes for customers, supported by GreenLake Offerings and the Private Cloud and AI portfolio.
  • Identify and engage customers seeking scalable and secure private cloud solutions using HPE Private Cloud Business Edition (PCBE); position PCBE as the ideal solution for digital transformation while maintaining control over data and infrastructure.
  • Drive adoption of HPE VM Essentials to optimize workloads, simplify virtualization for small and medium-sized businesses, and highlight cost-effectiveness and seamless integration.
  • Promote Zerto’s portfolio for data protection and disaster recovery, emphasizing near-zero recovery time and RPO; help customers safeguard critical workloads and ensure business continuity.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer’s business drivers to implement requirements through a comprehensive consulting approach at all levels.
  • Lead projects over the entire lifecycle from initial contact, PoCs, tender responses, negotiations to contract conclusion, and manage contracts through the lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Digital Sales, Sales Support, Presales, the GreenLake team, Zerto Sales, the Hybrid Solutions Group, and Storage Category.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Academic degree in business administration or similar.
  • 5+ years of sales experience with complex IT solutions.
  • Profound knowledge of the storage and data services market.
  • Ability to take sales responsibility for storage, data services, PCBE, and VME opportunities.
  • Sales excellence in building a sales pipeline, forecasting, and customer management.
  • Desire to develop deep product knowledge with differentiation from the competition.
  • Customer orientation and consulting skills with assertiveness and sales attitude.
  • Team- and goal-oriented work style.
  • Creativity, initiative and reliability.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Business fluency in German and English.
