Enterprise Account Executive

We are headhunting for an Enterprise Account Executive to join a fast-growing, medium-sized Tech company.

Our client is the publisher of a Linux open-source operating system that is a leading platform for public cloud compute and a favorite platform for software engineers, data scientists, and AI developers. Their customers include Global 500 enterprises and startups. Their product range has expanded over the years and now supports full enterprise solutions in infrastructure and applications, including software-defined storage, private cloud solutions, container runtime environments, databases, message queues, identity, observability, analytics, machine learning, and web publishing capabilities. Customers appreciate that they can get security, compliance, and support for everything open source from a single company, from data centers to the cloud and edge.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent the company, its solutions, and software in your territory.
  • Build and execute a territory plan to prioritize outreach and prospecting.
  • Develop new pipelines through outreach, prospecting, local marketing, and industry events.
  • Close contracts to meet and exceed quarterly and annual booking targets.
  • Be proactive in achieving tactical and strategic objectives.
  • Manage customer relationships and interactions through all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Work with field engineers to propose solutions that solve customer business problems.
  • Collaborate with customer success teams to identify growth opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts within Salesforce.
  • Establish professional relationships with key influencers and decision-makers.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or computer science.
  • Experience with open-source technology and solutions (IT infrastructure knowledge). Candidates may come from other software companies, system integrators, consulting businesses, or infrastructure companies but must have a passion for tech.
  • Detail-oriented with effective follow-up skills.
  • Experience in enterprise software or technology sales planning and execution.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets and winning new accounts.
  • Self-discipline and motivation to succeed in a distributed team.
  • Professional written and spoken English, plus proficiency in another language relevant to the target market.
  • Ability to travel for customer engagements, industry events, and company functions.
Additional Skills of Interest:
  • Vertical experience, especially in finance, telecom, health, energy, public sector, or tech.
  • Experience speaking at conferences or industry events.
  • Longevity in previous roles over the past 10 years.
