Meyer Talent Acquisition is assisting a Berlin-based client in finding an Engineering Manager for the Wallet team. You will oversee frontend, mobile, and backend delivery, shaping the roadmap and mentoring senior engineers to ensure reliable, high-quality user experiences.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, and QA to balance speed and maintainability, while driving technical excellence and architectural decisions across web and mobile platforms.

Engineering Manager - Wallet (f/m/d)

As an Engineering Manager - Wallet, you'll join one of our clients through Meyer Talent Acquisition.

Our client is building critical infrastructure for digital ownership. Their products help users and organizations manage assets, identities, permissions, and transactions securely.

As the company continues to grow, the Wallet experience is one of the most important ways users interact with the product. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Wallet team in Berlin, a high-impact role for someone who combines technical judgment, product thinking, people leadership, and strong delivery discipline.

As Engineering Manager for the team, you will own the technical quality, team growth, and delivery predictability of one of the company's most user-facing engineering teams. The team is responsible for the core user experience across web, mobile, and supporting backend systems - including login, onboarding, transactions, UI/UX, design system, passkeys, Workspaces, Copilot/security assistant, social login, security flows, and policies.

In this role you will:

• Lead the engineering team (senior & staff-level engineers) across frontend, mobile, and backend, ensuring high-quality delivery of the company's core user-facing product experiences
• Own delivery predictability by planning milestones, tracking progress, managing the Linear board, surfacing risks early, and adjusting scope or resources when needed
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and QA to shape the roadmap, clarify requirements, define what "great" looks like, and balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability
• Hold the team accountable for delivery, ownership, technical quality, and follow-through while creating an environment of trust and autonomy
• Provide technical leadership by reviewing RFCs, system designs, critical technical changes, and architecture trade-offs

• Ability to lead across frontend, mobile, and backend domains, even if your original background is stronger in one area
• Strong technical judgment in system design, architecture, RFC review, and trade-off analysis
• Ability to work closely with Product and QA on roadmap definition, execution, and quality

Nice to have

• Full-stack engineering background
• Experience with React, React Native, or NestJS
• Web3 or fintech experience
• Familiarity with authentication flows, access management, or transaction-based experiences
