Engineering Manager - Pilot Controls (m/f/d)

Here at Volocopter, we are the pioneers of electric air taxis (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft - eVTOLs). Job Description

Your mission during this flight:
As an Engineering Manager - Pilot Controls, you will be responsible for ensuring your team delivers results on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will influence the team's strategy and contribute to product development. This role involves leading a sub-team both disciplinarily and technically, while ensuring efficient and transparent communication with other CTO areas.

• You will ensure deliveries of team in time/cost/quality.
• You will manage Team resources with people and assigned budget responsibility.
• You will manage and align suppliers and define scope of work.
• You will provide technical and disciplinary leadership to team members.
• You will provide day-to-day guidance, coaching & feedback to the team.
• You will ensure high clarity and spirit within the team.
• You will plan and manage team capacity according to project needs.
• You will collaborate closely with other Team Leads and Head of Departments to guarantee best results.

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in the Aerospace Industry.
• MSc, PhD or equivalent degree in aerospace engineering or similar.
• Extensive, in-depth experience in flight controls system development.
• Experienced with management of people, projects, and suppliers.
