Voize is building AI-powered workflows to empower frontline staff. We are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team in Berlin, shaping technical strategy and delivering scalable software.

You will collaborate across ML, Product, and Data, while nurturing talent and maintaining a fast-paced, inclusive environment. The role offers a hybrid setup in Germany, with opportunities to impact product direction, system reliability, and developer experience.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role with people management experience.
• Hands-on mindset working daily with modern development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing developer workflows.
• Technical background in backend engineering (Kotlin and mobile engineering is a plus).
• Experience building reliable, production-grade systems with strong engineering practices.
• Experience with agile methodologies, project management, and delivery processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams and partners.
• Ability to drive technical strategy and align it with business and product goals.
• Passion for mentoring, coaching, and developing talent in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with cross-functional departments including Product, Data, CS, and GTM.
• Experience delivering complex integrations; healthcare experience is a plus.
• Fluent in English (C1); German is a plus (C1).

YOUR MISSION:

As an Engineering Manager (m/f/d) , your mission is to empower your team to build scalable, high-quality software and deliver it on time. You’ll lead with both technical and strategic vision, fostering a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and continuous improvement. By refining processes and team structures, you’ll enable engineers to thrive and deliver impactful solutions.

YOUR DAILY BUSINESS

• Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team Build and scale a strong, motivated cross-functional team by attracting top talent, providing ongoing coaching, and fostering a growth-oriented mindset
• Foster an inclusive, high-trust culture and support career growth Create an environment where engineers feel valued, empowered, and psychologically safe, while providing structured career development opportunities
• Align technical direction with product and company strategy Work closely with leadership to ensure engineering priorities drive business success, balancing innovation with technical feasibility.
• Ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery Implement best practices for testing, architecture, and code quality to maintain system performance, security, and scalability.
• Optimize developer experience, tooling, and workflows Continuously improve engineering processes, CI/CD pipelines, and development tools, team AI proficiency to maximize efficiency, and reduce friction.
• Oversee project execution, meeting deadlines and business impact goals. Drive project planning, ensure timely delivery, and proactively address risks to keep teams aligned and focused on key objectives.
• Collaborate closely with ML, Product and Data. Bridge the gap between engineering and other disciplines, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on technical and business needs.

YOUR SKILLSET – WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role you are required to have people management experience.

• Experience in working with cross-functional departments, including Product, Data, CS, and GTM
• Experience delivering complex integrations and partnership-driven projects (healthcare experience is a plus)
• Strong track record in hiring and building high performing engineering teams
• Fluent in English (C1) and German is a plus (C1) to effectively engage with teams and partners
