Kodiak GmbH is seeking an experienced Engineering Leader to drive systems engineering and interface management across complex infrastructure projects in Europe. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure alignment between objectives, requirements, schedules, costs, and quality, and oversee delivery from concept to commissioning.

Qualifikationen

• Completed university degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, Systems, or related field).
• Minimum of 10 years' professional engineering experience with delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication (C1).

• Lead engineering management activities and align objectives, requirements, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Establish interfaces between engineering disciplines, project packages, contractors, QM, and stakeholders.
• Provide strategic oversight of engineering interfaces and resolve cross-functional risks.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure resources and succession planning.
• Develop engineering strategies, standards, methodologies, and best practices.
• Oversee delivery across development, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Collaborate with QM to define commissioning philosophies and testing strategies.
• Monitor progress, KPIs, resource use, and milestones.
• Establish QA and governance; ensure compliance with regs and standards.
• Mentor engineers, define resource requirements, share knowledge.
• Engage senior management and external stakeholders; report on performance and risks; support new tech.

YOUR TASKS

• Engineering Leadership and Interface Management
  • Lead and oversee all engineering management activities, including systems engineering, ensuring alignment between project objectives, technical requirements, schedule, cost, quality targets, and system lifecycle requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective interfaces between engineering disciplines, project packages, EPCI contractors, procurement, logistics, O&M, permitting authorities, certification bodies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic oversight of engineering interfaces and drive resolution of cross-functional technical issues and risks.
  • Lead and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring adequate competencies, resources, and succession planning.
• Engineering Strategy, System Integration, and Design Assurance
  • Ensure the consistent integration of all technical, operational, regulatory, HSE, certification, and licensing requirements into the overall project design.
  • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of engineering strategies, standards, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of technical specifications, technical requirements, and engineering deliverables.
• Project Delivery and Execution Management
  • Direct engineering activities throughout project development, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, and handover phases.
  • In collaboration with Quality Management (QM), oversee the development and implementation of commissioning philosophies, testing strategies, inspection plans, and design verification activities.
  • Monitor engineering progress, key performance indicators, resource utilization, and delivery Milestones
• Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management
  • Establish and maintain engineering quality assurance and technical governance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, permits, standards, company requirements, and international best practices.
  • Lead identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of technical and engineering risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Resource Management and Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop engineering personnel, fostering technical excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Define systems engineering resource requirements and manage allocation of internal and external engineering resources.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous professional development across engineering teams.
• Stakeholder Engagement, Innovation, and Communication
  • Serve as the primary engineering representative toward senior management, project leadership, external stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide regular reporting on engineering performance, technical risks, strategic decisions, and emerging technologies.
  • Support innovation initiatives and implementation of new technologies, digital engineering approaches, and industry best practices.

REQUIREMENTS & YOUR EXPERTISE

• Completed university degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, Systems,or a related engineering discipline).
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in engineering, with a proven track record in thedelivery of complex projects and multidisciplinary engineering activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (mind. C1)
