Jobbeschreibung

The Team

Become part of our global Signal Processing group. We are +50 dedicated and highly skilled specialists working on a multitude of different topics all around Audio Signal Processing at two sites in Erlangen (Germany) and Lynge (Denmark, near Kopenhagen). Not being familiar with hearing aids, one can hardly imagine the complexity and the possibilities of hearing aid processing. Join us in processing and analyzing microphone and other sensor signals and developing algorithms for a realization in hardware, firmware, DSPs, or mobile devices.

The Role

As an Engineer (m/f/d) for Audio Signal Processing you will join our global Signal Processing group and become part of our Feature Realization team based in Erlangen, Germany.

You will report to our Head of Signal Processing Feature Realization.

In this role you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Development of new algorithms in the field of (audio-) signal processing
  • Implementation of algorithms mainly in C for the realization in hardware, microcontroller or DSP
  • Review and optimization regarding, efficiency and algorithmic complexity, considering the boundary conditions of hearing aid applications
  • Close collaboration with international and interdisciplinary development teams within Signal Processing and with Audiology, Firmware and ASIC departments
Requirements

You have profound knowledge in the development of signal processing algorithms. Additionally, you have experience in bringing these into real-world applications, considering aspects like fixed point implementation and optimization of computational complexity. Ideally, you bring experience in realizing algorithms in an embedded environment, e.g., in a microcontroller or DSP.

You are motivated by working together with others in teams, sharing and exchanging ideas, defining joint targets and continuously working together to reach the targets with great success. Creativity, attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude are part of your experience.

You most likely fit the following profile:

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or any other relevant discipline
  • Very good knowledge in the field of signal processing
  • Very good programming skills in C and C++, ideally in the context of an embedded environment
  • Good knowledge in the field auf audio applications would be desirable
  • Structured working, analytical thinking and good problem-solving skills

Our corporate language is English, so you need to be confident in English, both verbally and in writing.
