As an Engineer (m/f/d) Autonomy V&V Strategy, you will define and execute the overarching Verification and Validation (V&V) strategy for releasing autonomous vehicles. You will be responsible for developing a structured framework for product releases, establishing KPIs and SPIs, and coordinating testing efforts across suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards. This role is critical for aligning the V&V efforts with program milestones and regulatory requirements.

• Release Concept & Argumentation:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive release strategy for the autonomous vehicle program.
  • Collaborate with Safety, Cyber, and Systems Engineering, Legal and Compliance, as well as other teams to define release goals.
  • Break down release goals into strategies and required evidences.
  • Collaborate with external parties (TÜV, KBA, etc.).
• Target KPIs & Tracking:
  • Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs) to monitor V&V progress and product maturity.
  • Use data-driven insights to continuously refine and adjust KPIs and SPIs.
  • Track progress against these targets.
• Test Concept:
  • Define test objectives, test end criteria, and test success criteria.
  • Define the distribution of testing efforts between suppliers and Holon, specifying RASICs and acceptance testing targets.
  • Align testing strategies across simulation, HiL, and real-world testing platforms to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Review test plans and test cases.
• Track resolution of identified issues.
• Engage with suppliers on preventive actions to avoid similar issues.

Desired Skills

• Autonomy and V&V Expertise:
  • Strong understanding of autonomy architectures and V&V methodologies.
  • Familiarity with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ISO 21448).
• Data Science and Analysis:
  • Experience analyzing large-scale data sets from simulation, HiL, and real-world testing environments.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and techniques for KPI development and data validation.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools to present insights effectively (e.g., Tableau, Matplotlib, Plotly).
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse engineering domains in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience with the development and implementation of test strategies and test case definitions across different test platforms (simulation, HiL, track).
• Proven experience with state-of-the-art autonomy test platforms and tools, including simulation and HiL systems.
• Experience in supplier management or negotiations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ideally, experience with homologation or (self-)certification of automotive products.
