Responsibilities

  • Facilitate end2end product development for new propositions (i.e. smart-meter tariffs, flexibility products, etc.) with focus on energy markets relevant topics in Germany
  • Executing commercial analysis considering various drivers (market price driver, risk / reward, regulatory environment, strategic perspective, etc.)
  • Consult product owners with strong expertise in energy markets relevant topics like risk management, monetization of value propositions in wholesale markets
  • Support prioritizing value propositions based on a commercial end2end perspective in Germany
  • Foster strong collaboration of various regional energy market functions of national and regional brands in Germany with the E.ON Energy Markets unit
  • Interface management between German E.ON internal retail entities and energy markets functions
  • Enable conformity for future retail products along existing IT-systems and respective processes within energy markets

Requirements / Capabilities

  • Degree in Energy Economics, Business Studies with strong expertise in Energy Markets aspects or related fields
  • In depth knowledge (generalist) of core energy markets functions in risk management (hedging), forecasting, trading, optimization, certificates and their commercial impact on financial results
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end value chain for existing and future products with focus on energy markets aspects including regulatory topics
  • Entrepreneurial and commercial mindset to facilitate prioritization
  • Big data analytical skills (i.e. python, SQL or similar)
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience in working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills and experience in interface management
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
  • High sense of ownership, responsibility, and drive to deliver
