A Snapshot of Your Day

In this dynamic role, you will lead activities related to developing service offerings for stationary battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. You will be a key member of a global, multicultural team passionate about research, development, go-to-market strategies, tendering, and execution of service BESS products. You will collaborate with colleagues to develop market-leading service energy storage solutions for our global customers.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  1. Develop and expand the service portfolio, including LTSA (Long Term Service Agreement) offerings for the BESS integration platform and launch these services in the market.
  2. Create initial offerings and applications in coordination with cross-functional teams such as Distributed Energy Management Systems (DERMS), Instrumentation and Controls (I&C), software architects, application experts, tendering, and customers.
  3. Collaborate to develop and deliver an I&C platform for real-time control of BESS installations, asset management solutions from other technology areas, site IT network and connectivity infrastructure, BESS application engineering, technical studies, remote operation solutions, etc., to provide a fully integrated digital solutions suite as part of LTSA offerings.
  4. Lead or coordinate with third-party providers for battery prognostics and health management solutions, energy management solutions, power plant controllers, etc., to develop customized solutions based on project requirements.
  5. Develop remote maintenance and operation applications for BESS, including remote access, support, and autonomous operation.
  6. Configure customized solutions using advanced cybersecurity practices to support our customers.

What You Bring

  • Must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, power systems, or computer science. At least 5 years of experience in the energy industry, with expertise in DERMS and power plant operations.
  • Expertise in control network architectures, network protocols, energy management systems, power plant controllers, monitoring platforms, particularly in battery energy storage or renewable power plants, along with a basic understanding of stationary battery storage technologies and components.
  • Knowledge of service offerings including LTSA, guarantees for availability and performance, RAMS studies, and experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and deploying energy systems.
  • Basic understanding of standards, regulations, grid codes, transmission & distribution, and market requirements.
  • Strong communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus.
  • Motivated, organized, and able to prioritize complex tasks in an intercultural, global environment.
