This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

The HPE HPC & AI EMEA Research Lab (ERL) combines industrial research and tech development using Agile/Lean methodologies. Our highly technical team comprises software and research engineers from diverse backgrounds.
ERL is part of Hewlett Packard Labs, based in Milpitas, California, dedicated to delivering breakthrough technologies and advancements that give HPE a competitive edge.
We seek someone flexible to work on short- and long-term projects aligned with high-end HPC activities at Leibniz Rechenzentrum Munich (LRZ), capable of independent and collaborative work, eager to learn new technologies, and able to communicate effectively.
You will be involved with the LRZ “Blue Lion” supercomputer, focusing on workload optimization and sustainability, especially regarding GPU usage and AI, and helping applications target next-generation platforms. Opportunities include working on data-centric application coupling, secure HPC, operational analytics, and more.
Location: Munich, Berlin, or flexible elsewhere in Germany.
