Responsibilities
Key Role Objectives
- Growth Strategy: Work closely with business segments to align regional growth strategy with the global strategy. Collaborate with Business Segment Leads, SMI leads, Regional GMs, and the commercial organization to build a regional growth strategy that meets AOP targets.
- Marketing Initiatives: Translate regional growth strategies into marketing initiatives that drive go-to-market plans, fuel demand generation, accelerate growth, and expand into new territories. Develop measurable integrated marketing campaigns using the full marketing mix to maximize customer engagement.
- New Product Introductions: Develop a regional NPI model with stakeholders, identifying key milestones. Build a cross-functional team to execute strategies, deliver a two-year AOP, and ensure market acceptance and value proposition alignment.
- Business Intelligence: Support market or regional expansion with assessments, gather product intelligence, competitive insights, win/loss analysis, customer segmentation, and market trends. Provide analysis and recommendations for leadership and reporting, contributing to weekly and quarterly reviews.
- Demand Generation: Build a demand engine that contributes double-digit growth, emphasizing digital channels. Collaborate with regional and global teams to leverage resources and optimize impact.
- Marketing Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability, creativity, and collaboration to maximize marketing ROI.
Qualifications
- Lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies to achieve product revenue goals in EMEA.
- Design strategies targeting retention, expansion, and displacement of technologies.
- Lead the Market Development team in executing integrated marketing plans.
- Maintain monthly market overviews covering market conditions, competition, and trends.
- Oversee marketing KPIs such as MQLs, conversion rates, and funnel creation.
- Execute demand generation activities across segments to enhance engagement and conversions.
- Create regional content, including digital events and content, to generate leads.
- Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and coordinate with corporate communications.
- Implement sales strategies, drive initiatives, and enable sales teams.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop the annual operating plan.
- Establish as a subject matter expert within EMEA, influencing cross-team efforts.
- Lead and develop a team of market development managers.
- Enhance the team's skills in campaigns, customer journeys, and regional branding.
- Train and nurture team members to achieve their objectives.
Additional Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or marketing.
- 10+ years in marketing and business development, preferably with Waters or similar industry experience.
- Proven ability to develop and execute business plans.
- People leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to develop talent and future leaders.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain professional relationships aligned with Waters' values.
- Proactive in establishing team relationships across departments.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing demands.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30% regionally and internationally.
