Jobbeschreibung

An innovative company in the intelligent sensing space is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to join their growing development team. The organization is focused on building scalable, ultra-low-power embedded devices that transform acoustic signals into real-time insights — with current applications in manufacturing, energy efficiency, and smart infrastructure, and future expansion into defense, space, and urban systems.

This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for individuals passionate about embedded software, hardware integration, and working on meaningful, next-gen sensor solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Firmware Development & Optimization

  • Architect, develop, and test embedded firmware for sensor and gateway platforms
  • Implement low-level interfaces and communication protocols (SPI, I²C, UART, CAN)
  • Optimize code for power efficiency, reliability, and real-time performance across challenging environments

Hardware Integration & Field Testing

  • Work closely with electrical, signal processing, and mechanical engineers to integrate systems
  • Support prototyping and iterative development of hardware / software integration
  • Validate device functionality through lab and in-field testing
  • Lead debugging with tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG / SWD
  • Prepare technical documentation, test procedures, and validation reports

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate across disciplines to align embedded systems with broader product goals
  • Participate in best practice development, team knowledge sharing, and technical reviews
  • Engage with external labs or testing partners for certification and system validation

Your Profile :

Required Qualifications :

  • Degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering or a related technical field
  • 2+ years experience in embedded systems development
  • Proficiency in C / C++ for microcontroller environments
  • Familiarity with RTOS, low-level hardware debugging, and version control (e.g., Git)
  • Understanding of DSP fundamentals and hardware-software interfacing
  • Must have valid EU work authorization

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 4+ years of experience in embedded software across IoT, industrial, or automotive sectors
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant technical discipline
  • Experience with low-power design and energy-efficient firmware
  • Familiarity with wireless protocols : LoRa, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular
  • Knowledge of hardware certification (e.g., CE, FCC, IP ratings)
  • German language skills are a plus

If you're excited about working on next-generation embedded systems with real-world impact, we’d love to hear more about what drives you and how your background aligns with this opportunity.
