Job summary

ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology is seeking a dedicated test engineer to implement and validate test concepts for electronic systems. You will support internal teams and external providers, and build automated system tests using modern methods such as HIL.

You will leverage Python/pytest, Azure DevOps, and embedded testing frameworks to improve coverage and reliability. The role emphasizes systematic testing, documentation, and proactive optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics or STEM with comparable professional experience.
• Extensive experience in developing automated hardware-related software tests.
• Experience in developing software tests using Python and pytest.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for integrating tests into CI pipelines.
• Experience using testing frameworks to automate functional tests in embedded software development is desired.

Responsibilities

• A technical degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics, or another STEM field with comparable professional experience
• Extensive experience in developing automated hardware-related software tests
• Experience in developing software tests using Python / pytest
• Experience with Azure DevOps for integrating tests into CI pipelines
• Experience using testing frameworks to automate functional tests in embedded software development is desired
• Strong skills in system integration and a systematic approach
• Good teamwork skills, high self-motivation, as well as strong initiative and independence
• Good command of German and English
