Zusammenfassung

Tintschl Technik GmbH seeks an Embedded Software Engineer for safety-critical avionics. You will architect, implement and test C-based platform software in an agile team, bring-up microprocessors, BSPs, and integrate hardware/software with ARINC 653 RTOS.

Requirements include a Master’s in CS/AE, 3+ years in embedded software, DO-178C, ARINC 653/DO-297, and strong C skills. English fluency is essential; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Proven expertise with safety-critical standards such as DO-178C.
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems like ARINC 653 and Integrated Modular Avionics (DO-297).
• Strong C programming skills for safety-critical embedded software.
• Knowledge of low-level software development and certification processes.
• Experience with Lauterbach Trace, DOORS, Python.
• Knowledge of microprocessor, BSP and hardware-software integration.
• Knowledge of Virtual Engineering concepts, SCADE or automated model-based code generation tools is an advantage.
• Experience with Agile frameworks/tools such as Jira and Confluence is an advantage.
• Fluent English; German is an advantage.

Aufgaben

The position holder (d/f/m) works as Embedded Software Engineer – Safety-Critical Avionics (Embedded Software Engineer).

Your Tasks

• Architect, implement, integrate and test safety-critical platform software using C within an agile development team
• Develop low-level software, including microprocessor bring-up, Board Support Package (BSP) adaptation and hardware-software integration
• Configure, develop and optimize Real-Time Operating Systems, such as ARINC 653, ensuring strict time and space partitioning in multi-core environments
• Create key software lifecycle documentation, including PSAC, SDP and SVP
• Maintain complete bidirectional requirements traceability
• Define and execute end-to-end operational test scenarios using physical Multisystem Integration Test RIGs
• Contribute to the development of software architectures, real-time computing platforms and integrated systems for aerospace applications

Your Profile

• Master’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or a comparable field
• At least 3 years of professional experience in embedded software development
• Proven expertise with safety-critical standards such as DO-178C is mandatory
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems such as ARINC 653 and Integrated Modular Avionics (DO-297) is mandatory
• Strong C programming skills for safety-critical embedded software development
• Deep knowledge of low-level software development and certification processes
• Experience with Lauterbach Trace, Rulechecker, DOORS and Python
• Knowledge of microprocessor, BSP and hardware-software integration
• Knowledge of Virtual Engineering concepts, SCADE or automated model-based code generation tools is an advantage
• Experience with Agile frameworks and tools such as Jira and Confluence is an advantage
• Fluent English (negotiation level); German is an advantage
