The position holder (d/f/m) works as Embedded Software Engineer – C & Ada | Safety-Critical Systems.
Your Tasks
- Design, implement and test safety-critical real-time software as part of an agile development team
- Develop embedded applications and low-level platform software for Flight Control Computers
- Perform software reviews and create technical documentation
- Design and document software architecture and software design
- Support the planning of software increments
- Contribute to software design definition and continuous improvement
- Analyze stakeholder needs and upper-level requirements and translate them into actionable software requirements
- Write requirements in compliance with defined quality criteria
- Define requirements allocation to system elements
- Manage requirement changes, including impact analysis
- Verify that requirements are correctly and completely implemented
Your Profile
- Master’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Embedded Systems
- More than 4 years of professional experience in IT / information systems
- Very good knowledge of both C and Ada is mandatory
- Ada is a must-have requirement for this position
- Very good knowledge of Embedded Systems Software Development and/or low-level platform software
- Very good knowledge of processors and processor architectures for safety-critical computing
- Experience with programming standards and Model-Based System Design, including data flow and state machine diagrams, is mandatory
- Experience with SCADE, Automated Code Generation and Requirements Engineering is required
- Hands-on experience with safety-critical standards such as ED-12C/DO-178C, ED-218/DO-331 and ED-80/DO-254
- Experience with ARINC 653-based HRTOS and IMA (ED-124/DO-297) is desirable
- Ability to work independently and as part of an international team
- Fluent German and English (negotiation level)
