You will conduct comprehensive satellite control center system engineering activities, including developing operational concepts and hardware/software requirements. The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree, at least three years of aerospace and IT experience, and fluency in German and English. Role

SCC Systems Engineer HW/SW (f/m/d) – Satellite Control Center

Responsibilities

• Conduct and follow‑up conceptual design activities in satellite control center systems engineering, including requirements, interfaces, user and management data flow within the ground segment as well as TM/TC interfaces
• Establish requirements for satellite control center hardware (HW) and software (SW) items and their interfaces to other ground segment entities, e.g., ground stations, payload control center, networks including IT infrastructure and data centers
• Elaborate system trade‑offs in satellite control center systems engineering and support overall architecture definition
• Develop validation concept at satellite control center level and support relevant tests at higher level (e.g., SVTs, GSVTs)
• Develop operations concept and prepare operational requirements and operational products (Flight & Ground Operations Procedures, i.e., FOPs & GOPs) for the satellite control center
• Provide technical support to project managers on planning, contractual changes, and risk & opportunity identification

Your profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or Telecommunications
• Minimum 3 years experience in IT / information systems
• Minimum 3 years experience in aerospace
• Experience in SpacecraftAñ Control Center and Payload Control Center systems engineering
• Knowledge of satellite control center systems engineering regarding technical interfaces, data flow (user and management data), and TM/TC engineering (secure & unsecured)
• Experience in Ground Station engineering
• Fluent in German and English (negotiation level)
• Strong experience with software‑based systems, networks, and IT infrastructure
