We are currently looking for a Embedded Linux Software Engineer / Unity Engine (m / w / d) for a customer project.

You will contribute to the development and integration of the graphics subsystem as part of our first-in-class in-vehicle infotainment system. You are part of the UI (user interface) team that handles the backend technology, in particular our Wayland compositor, Qt stack, and other system plumbing components. The team is committed to deliver high quality products used by developers across the company.

• Contribute to the development and integration of our keystone products : a system-wide Wayland compositor and a developer-friendly Qt stack.
• Contribute to the integration and extension of Unity as the next-level UI development toolkit, make system-wide architectural decisions, and support teams in using the product.
• Take ownership of the software the team develops; delivering functionality, quality, and graphics performance are your passions.
• Support the Product Owner with prioritizing and planning the development work of our components, including coordinating development, planning, and testing activities with internal and external stakeholders.

Your profile :

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communication Technology or a comparable qualification
• Considerable experience in software development work as part of a geographically distributed and highly online team
• Strong understanding of agile and classic development processes
• Deep knowledge in one of the following areas : Unity, especially low-level and system integration / C++, Qt5 / Qt6, QML, and Wayland
• Extensive experience with the Linux or Android graphics stack, in particular Vulkan, EGL, OpenGL, and system integration
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence
• Interest in software architecture for embedded systems
• Familiarity with contributing to open-source projects
• Experience with Yocto, Linux packaging and plumbing
• Team player attitude
• Self-organized and highly collaborative
• Proficiency in problem solving and troubleshooting technical issues
• Flexible and can-do attitude
• Continuous learning attitude
• Aspiration to engineering excellence
• Proficient in English, German is a plus.
