We are seeking an experienced and talented Embedded Linux Software Engineer (m/f/d)

In this role, you will take on a central responsibility for the development, maintenance, and optimization of embedded Linux operating systems and contribute significantly to the success of our products.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain embedded Linux operating systems based on product requirements
• Coordinate requirements with product teams regarding the embedded Linux operating system
• Develop and maintain tests for continuous integration checks of the embedded Linux OS on various target platforms
• Support hardware bring‑up of microprocessor PCBAs with embedded Linux OS for product teams
• Assess impacts and define countermeasures related to CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures)
• Develop and maintain an abstraction layer application for the embedded Linux OS within our embedded software platform
• Collaborate in an agile, interdisciplinary team

Your Profile:

Education:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field
• Alternatively: at least 5 years of professional experience in embedded Linux operating systems

Professional Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in developing embedded Linux operating systems
• 3+ years of experience in agile product development
• 1+ year of experience developing with Rust under embedded Linux is a plus

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong analytical skills, independent and structured working style
• Hands‑on mentality, high initiative, and enthusiasm for new technologies
• Enjoy working in dynamic, innovation‑driven teams
• Solid knowledge of Yocto Build Tool, Docker, Bash, C/C++, Python, Rust
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
