About the job :

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Linux Software Developer to join our R&D Camera team. You will be responsible for developing software components that control an FPGA-based imaging pipeline, with a strong focus on improving camera performance and ensuring high-quality image output.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop embedded Linux software using C/C++ to control FPGA imaging pipelines.

  • Design and implement unit and module tests to enhance camera quality.

  • Maintain and further develop test software used for FPGA verification.

  • Document the developed software components.

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues from software, hardware, testing, and image science departments

What we are looking for:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Professional experience with (Embedded) Linux systems (x86 or ARM), using C/C++.

  • Proficient in debugging embedded systems and working with interfaces such as Ethernet and PCIe.

  • Experience with scripting languages like Python is a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills and a structured problem-solving approach.

  • Experience in the broadcast/media industry or real-time image processing is advantageous.

  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to technical challenges.

  • Team player with the ability to work in interdisciplinary environments.

  • Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus.
