Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems or Computer Science.
• Experience with CI/CD practices, test automation and modern tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Robot Framework, Docker, Git).
• Strong scripting/programming: Python, C/C++, Bash; Linux knowledge.
• Understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, hardware interfaces, x86/ARM.
• Analytical, hands-on, with agile/DevOps mindset; professional English.

We are seeking an Embedded DevOps Engineer CI/CD to help drive software quality, reliability, and continuous improvement across our industrial PC, PLC, and embedded product portfolio. In this role, you will develop and maintain modern automated testing and integration environments, enabling efficient product development and ensuring robust system performance. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams spanning hardware, firmware, embedded software, and project management to deliver high-quality solutions that support Emerson’s innovation goals.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Set up, maintain, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and automated build, test, and integration environments for industrial PC, PLC, and embedded products.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated system, integration, regression, stability, performance, security, interface, and hardware-in-the-loop tests.
• Develop scripts, test utilities, dashboards, and documentation to make automated testing transparent, reliable, and easy to use.
• Analyze pipeline and test failures, support root-cause analysis, and work with development teams to improve product quality, test coverage, and test stability.
• Contribute to the development of microcontroller software and/or Linux low-level software and drivers, depending on project requirements.
• Work closely with hardware, firmware, embedded software, and project management teams to define effective test strategies and resolve integration challenges.
• Promote continuous improvement practices that enhance development efficiency, product reliability, and customer value.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification.
• Experience with CI/CD practices, test automation, automated test frameworks, and modern development tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Robot Framework, Docker, Git, or similar technologies.
• Strong scripting and programming skills, preferably in Python, C/C++, Bash, or related languages.
• Solid Linux knowledge and experience working in Linux-based development environments.
• Understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, hardware interfaces, and x86- or ARM-based platforms.
• An analytical, hands‑on approach to problem-solving and a willingness to embrace agile, DevOps, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Experience with embedded Linux, Linux driver development, kernel configuration, or low-level software development.
• Knowledge of hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) testing and test infrastructure design.
• Familiarity with industrial automation, industrial PCs, PLCs, or related embedded hardware platforms.
• Experience implementing security, performance, or reliability testing in embedded environments.
• German language skills.
• Experience building test reporting dashboards, quality metrics, and scalable automation frameworks.
