Zusammenfassung

SBG Associates is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in Germany to design, implement, and test software for satellites and evaluation boards. You will work on low-level drivers, middleware, and applications for prototypes and proofs-of-concepts, with emphasis on embedded systems, RTOS, and Linux environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, integrate third-party SDKs, and contribute to hardware/software co-design and documentation.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience acceptable.
• 2–5+ years of embedded software development in C/C++ (Python a plus).
• Hands-on with RTOS, embedded Linux, SoCs, FPGAs; board bring-up experience.
• Solid understanding of device drivers, Ethernet/TCP/IP, 3GPP 5G/6G concepts, and Git version control.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English; basic German a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and test embedded software for SoCs, evaluation boards, and custom hardware platforms
• Develop low-level drivers, middleware, and application-layer software to support proof-of-concepts and system prototypes
• Integrate third-party SDKs alongside internal modules, contributing to hardware/software co-design and debugging efforts
• Support rapid prototyping, testing, and validation of next-generation satellite communication technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to clear documentation of software architecture, integration processes, and best practices

Your Profile:

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2–5+ years of experience in embedded software development using C/C++ (Python is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with RTOS, embedded Linux, SoCs, FPGAs, and board bring-up
