Job Description:

WHO MAY APPLY?

Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany.

AND

EXTERNAL Local National Applicants, who reside in Germany.

Responsibilities:

1. Installs, modifies, maintains and repairs interior and exterior distribution panels/boxes, fixtures, apparatus, transformers, switchgear, emergency power units/generators, signal and alarm units, interior and exterior illumination, UPS systems, HVAC and other electrical devices up to 20kV (20,000 Volt).
2. Uses the full variety of trade's tools i.e. test meters and test lamps.
3. Has oversight of the very complex depot wide Utility Monitoring Control System (UMCS).
4. Tracks the monthly utility consumption and transmits the quarterly utility consumption data for invoicing purposes.
5. Acts as POC in the absence of the Branch Chief.
6. Plans and lays out the routing, placement, type, size, load, continuity and proper and safe operation of electrical lines, circuits, systems, equipment and control instruments.
7. Regularly operates and maintains a transport vehicle (requiring at least a Class B driver's license) for the execution of daily duties.
8. Drives military vehicles in performing official duties.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

A4-05:
Completed vocational training of at least 30 months in the appropriate trade OR 5 years of specialized experience.

A4-06:
Completed vocational training in the appropriate trade PLUS 2 years experience at a level of difficulty comparable to the Wage Group 5 or equivalent OR 8 years of specialized experience of which 3 years must have been performed at the wage group 5 or equivalent level.

Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B and able to obtain and maintain a military driver's license.

Language Proficiency Level:

English Language Proficiency level A1 AND German Language Proficiency level C1 required.

General Information:

These are two permanent full-time positions (38.5 hrs/week). Employee must be able to lift and carry up to 44 lbs.
