We are seeking a highly skilled (Senior) Electronics Engineer who can drive design and testing projects. In this role, you will take full ownership of electrical developments for our modular industrial robots — from concept design through to validation — ensuring every product meets the highest standards of performance, reliability, and manufacturability. You’ll be at the forefront of developing robotics solutions thatset new benchmarks for flexibility and scalability in automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PCB Design & Development – Own the full PCB design process using Altium Designer, including schematic capture, component selection, PCB layout, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Prototype Bring-Up & Testing – Plan and execute functional and performance testing of new boards, troubleshoot hardware issues, and work with suppliers to resolve manufacturing problems.
  • System Integration – Ensure electronics integrate seamlessly into the overall robotic system, including EMC/EMI considerations, thermal management, and mechanical fit.
  • Continuous Improvement – Lead testing and robustness investigations on existing systems to drive performance enhancements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with production, mechanical, firmware, and other engineering teams to deliver cohesive solutions.

Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in electronics design, preferably in robotics, automation, or similar complex electromechanical systems.
  • Proven experience with Electronics Design Software (Altium Designer preferred; Eagle, KiCad, …)
  • Strong knowledge ofpower electronics (DC/DC converters, motor drivers, protection circuits) andBLDC motor control principles.
  • Hands-on experience inelectronics testing, measurement tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Solid understanding of EMC/EMI design principles and compliance requirements.
  • Fluent English; German proficiency is a plus.
Plus Points:
  • Experience with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 61508).
  • Familiarity with EtherCAT, Ethernet, or other industrial communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of thermal design and mechanical integration for electronics.
  • Experience designing for harsh environments or high reliability.
