At Gixel our goal is to explore, innovate and design a novel next generation augmented reality experience. We are looking for skilled and motivated Electronic Design Engineers to join our hardware team in Karlsruhe. Based on your expertise and your passion, you may work on one or more areas from the following:

• Analogue and digital circuit design, . motor drive circuit, power delivery, sensor interfacing, embedded system, etc.
  
• Embedded firmware development
  
• Real-time digital signal processing
  

You will work on the end-to-end product development cycle including concept, design, development, and integration of those electrical components or systems. You will also work cross functionally to develop specifications and test methods, perform performance evaluation and work closely with manufacturing partners for prototyping and mass production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and design the electronic systems for next generation AR experience
  
• Establish engineering specifications, including key performance metrics, test methods, and test requirements for the electronic system
  
• Work with diverse and highly interdisciplinary team members, . optical design & simulation, mechanical engineering and design, to develop and mature new technologies for the electronic systems
  
• Evaluate and prototype in the lab and manage the supplier selection and communication
  
• Lead the development to scale up for high volume manufacturing
  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics or a related technical discipline or equivalent work experience
  
• Strong experience in ECAD tools, . Altium Designer
  
• Proven understanding of electronics standards and processes
  
• Programming experience (Python, Matlab or C/C++)
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with embedded system design, especially development experience with STM32 chips
