For our Sample Environment and Characterisation group we are looking for an
Responsibilities:
Design and build electronic components and assemblies
Hardware design and programming of PLCs (Beckhoff) to control sample delivery devices
Participate in high-level programming of control front-ends (Python)
Ensure electrical safety in the group within the company’s electrical safety structure
Support experts in repair and maintenance of lab devices in the user laboratories
Support the group in simple mechanical work in the workshops
Maintain a contact to specialist groups in electronics and software
Minimum Requirements:
Certified technician or similar qualification with proven experience in mechatronic, electronic or equivalent (eg. German “Meister” or “staatlich geprüfter Techniker”)
Experience with electronic lab devices such as function generators, oscilloscopes, amplifiers
Knowledge in PLC programming (Beckhoff Automation)
Knowledge in at least one programming language (Python, C++)
Experience with vacuum components would be an asset
