Electro-Mechanical Technician
Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems in manufacturing equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical components, and automation technologies to ensure optimal machine performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical components of manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure machines operate efficiently and safely.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to assist with repairs.
- Test and calibrate machinery to ensure proper functionality.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an electro-mechanical technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Military Training and Experience Preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, motors, control systems, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and hand/power tools for repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
- Experience with PLCs, automation, and robotic systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift heavy components and work in various industrial environments.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends if needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Industrial Maintenance or related field.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of CNC machines and industrial automation systems.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
Work Environment
- Work is performed in a manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
- Some tasks may require working at heights or in confined spaces.
