Qualifikationen

• Mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung als qualifizierter Elektriker.
• Erfahrung in der Wartung elektrischer Systeme und Notfällen.

Job Overview

To carry out maintenance, repairs and project works to all electrical services within the MOD Estate in Germany. Visiting unit locations and Service Families Accommodation (SFA) and liaising with third party contractors. The role covers a wide variety of Facilities Management and construction projects. Responsibilities will vary according to the requirements of the business.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

1. Under supervision, carry out the response and pre-planned preventative maintenance programme and deliver new works and ensure compliance with management systems, relevant guidelines, statutory acts and regulations. Have good fault-finding skills and able to work safely and unsupervised, often alone and consistently produce work to a high standard.
2. Provide technical information to supervisory and managerial levels to facilitate solutions to technical problems.
3. Participation in the Mitie Out of Hours Call Out Rota and ensure all works are carried out to Client's standards, policies and procedures and regulations. Attend emergency calls as is required, on a make safe basis.
4. A proactive technician who anticipates problems and shows initiative for problem-solving and generating new ideas that is trustworthy with confidential information, handling it in an appropriate and sensitive way.
5. Flexible - is willing to undertake a range of tasks for the effective running of the department. Is willing to work the hours required for the successful and safe completion of tasks.
6. Undertake the running and maintenance of the Electrical systems, in accordance with requirement and competence as requested by your Foreman. Ensure completion of all works, tasks, and duties allocated to you within given time limits.
7. Liaise with your Foreman on your findings, to allow good record keeping.
8. Report estate non-compliances (within the electrical discipline) efficiently to your supervisors and compliance Tech Officer for immediate escalation to the client and stakeholders.
9. Comply with all H&S requirements. Attend meetings, and provide technical input as is requested.
10. Help in all other required areas of the contract, where deemed competent and where required, participate in ongoing training to maintain business requirements.

What We Are Looking For

1. Recognised Apprenticeship - A time served electrical apprenticeship (to be evidenced) with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a fully qualified Electrical engineer.
2. Deal with emergencies. Attendance may be occasionally required outside of normal hours to deal with certain maintenance situations and/or specialist contractors.
3. Able to work independent as electrician for Industry & private house requirements.
4. Carry out repair and maintenance tasks for Single Living Accommodation.
5. Carry out specific tasks in given timeframes.
6. In time communication with Line Management.
7. Identification of required spare parts.
8. E-Check In Accordance With (IAW) - DGUV A3, DIN VDE 0105 Teil 100.
9. Carry out Portable electric appliances testing as required IAW - DIN VDE 0701 – 0702.
10. Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) awareness.
11. Remain Current and Competent to enable Working safely at height & in Confined Spaces.
12. Valid B driving license. Use and care of company vehicle in accordance with Mitie vehicle policy.

Experience Required

The candidates need to have a Time Served, Electrical Tradesman, as well as several years of experience in the relevant line of work with increasing responsibility. They should be Safety and detail-oriented and have excellent communication skills in both English and German language.

Other Desirable Skills/experience

Trained in periodic electrical testing and inspection/Portable Appliance Testing. Proven experience of working in a facilities maintenance environment with high customer service expectations. Experience and Training in High Voltage systems with the ability to multi skill and carry out varied maintenance tasks to a high standard.

Qualified as a German electrical trade apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Heating equivalent or an interest in gaining qualifications of this level and an interest in gaining additional qualifications.

Basic computer knowledge and use of Portable Digital Appliances. Ensure that risk assessments and method statements are available for every task. Input to the Quality, Environment, Health and Safety files.

Requirement to undergo UK MoD Contractor Security Clearance checks to enable site wide access.
