• Design and support steering console systems from design to onboard commissioning.
• Derive, create, and manage system requirements using DOORS Next Generation.
• Implement system concepts with internal and external interfaces.
• Create and review system, interface, test, and contract specifications.
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate bids, and coordinate with suppliers.
• Conduct technical reviews and negotiations with suppliers and customers.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external consortium partners.
• Plan and manage technical activities, procurement, and documents.
• Track timely provision of required documentation.
• Monitor requirements, schedules, costs, and quality specifications.
• Perform quality inspections of equipment, systems, and docs.

• Design and support steering console systems, from technical design and system integration through the supplier’s product development process to onboard commissioning
• Derive, create, and manage system requirements using DOORS Next Generation
• Implement system concepts while taking internal and external interfaces into account
• Create and review technical documents, such as system, interface, test, and contract specifications, as well as test instructions
• Prepare requests for quotation, evaluate incoming bids, and handle technical clarification and coordination with suppliers
• Conduct technical reviews and negotiations with suppliers and customers
• Coordinate with internal departments and external consortium partners
• Plan and manage technical activities, procurement processes, and document deliveries
• Track the timely provision of required documentation
• Monitor technical requirements, schedules, costs, and quality specifications
• Perform quality inspections of equipment, systems, software systems, documentation, and specifications
• Create and maintain equipment databases, for example in Siemens Teamcenter
• Support manufacturing and assist with the commissioning and testing of systems onboard submarines

Requirements

• Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, control engineering, automation engineering, or information technology; OR completed technical vocational training followed by two years of advanced technical college training to become a state-certified technician, several years of relevant professional experience, and appropriate additional training
• Strong technical understanding of complex systems
• Experience integrating complex systems
• Good command of English for an international project environment
• Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work in a team and strong intercultural competence
