The Role
- Lead the design, planning, and delivery of innovative battery storage systems within renewable energy projects.
- Prepare accurate technical specifications and tender documents, ensuring full compliance with project requirements.
- Review and assure the quality of supplier planning work during project execution.
- Ensure all documentation meets applicable technical standards and regulations.
- Design and size efficient storage solutions through detailed technical calculations.
- Develop preliminary electrical plans for medium and low voltage systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimise project performance.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning to ensure a smooth transition to operation.
- Maintain thorough technical documentation across all project stages.
The Person
- Degree in computer science (HTL or FH) or a related technical field
- Several years of experience in planning and delivering energy storage or renewable energy projects (e.g. battery storage, hydrogen, wind, PV, or hydropower)
- Strong understanding of battery storage system design, sizing, and technical calculations
- Knowledge of electrical pre-planning for medium and low-voltage systems
- Proficient in CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, E-PLAN) for technical drawings and layout development
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
- Passion for innovation and contributing to the future of renewable energy
- Fluent in German with good English skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Austria and Germany for site visits, training, and conferences
